Well written, suspenseful drama. It starts out slowly with great description and lighthearted, youthful fun. But don't let that fool you. It suddenly shifts (perhaps more rapidly than this reader followed at first) and we realize there is more to this peaceful northern scene and nature girl than meets the eye. I'm eager for the next installment to see how this struggle with wind, fire and water turns out.
Beautifully written! What a wordsmith! It picked up speed after a while and finished strong. Fantasy is not my favorite genre, but this book held my attention.
A great read by a promising young author. After starting one evening, I couldn't put it down until finished the next. Word pictures are amazing. Hurry up Mr.Tice and let us see the next gift from your fertile brain.
Story line flows well and keeps the reader involved.
Ending leads to the fun expectation of more to come.
