About the Author
Dr. Michael Youssef is the founding rector of The Church of the Apostles, an evangelical Anglican congregation in Atlanta. Founded in 1987, the church has grown from forty members to two thousand. Dr. Youssef is also president of an international broadcast ministry, "Leading the Way with Dr. Michael Youssef." Born in Egypt, Dr. Youssef immigrated to Australia to prepare for Christian ministry, earning a theology degree from Moore Theological College. He served in the pastoral ministry in the Anglican church of Australia for several years before moving to the United States, where he completed a master’s degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a doctorate in social anthropology from Emory University. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of four grown children.

I love when God speaks so clearly to me, and He did so through this book. Dr. Youssef is a man who loves the Lord and speaks from his heart and his own experiences in his Christian walk. I appreciate that. This is not a "preachy" book. It is uplifting and encouraging. This book provides a "new" tool and a clear understanding of that tool. It introduces God in a way that, perhaps, you have never thought of Him. I have experienced the Lord in a much closer, powerful way after reading this book. So well worth the read. I turn to it often, refer to it often, and have shared many copies.Product details

Praise is a commonly overlooked Christian discipline...that shouldn't be. Mr. Youssef does a really great job of teaching and inspiring!

This book is full of Biblical truth with practical applications for every Christian. It is so full that you will need to read it more than once.
If you have been drawn to this book, or not, please know the Rev Dr. Youseff has been granted a gift to draw one deeper into a relationship with our Triune Lord. I read the book and the farther into it I got, the more I learned what true praise was all about. I am now using it as a study with the questions found at the end of the book that one can use individually and/or in a group. The content continues to change my life. You can double the impact by listening to the 5 podcast messages on the author's website listed with the same topic though they do not follow the books outline. Give yourself a gift by reading the book, follow the suggestions and you'll be giving the Lord a gift as well...a gift of praise.
I bought this book b/c I really enjoy the radio broadcast featuring Dr. Youssef - his message always speaks to my soul and is easy to digest. I was very excited when I started reading and realized his writing is just as good as his broadcast. This book has taught me a lot about praise worship and I enjoy spending numerous moments a day or an hour just sending up my praise for the blessing the Lord has given me. I really do recommend this book - be sure to take notes or highlight or whatever you like so that you can come back again and again for it's great references.
